Facts About G-ONE Laundry Compound

January 24, 2009

G-ONE

CONCENTRATED LAUNDRY POWDER

Today’s most powerful nonpolluting detergent, G-One is a concentrated laundry powder that’s organic, low in phosphate, free-rinsing and 100% biodegradable. Formulated to outperform most other detergents, particularly against tough, oily dirt and when washing in hard water. G-One also protects your washing machine against corrosion.

HOW IS G-ONE UNIQUE?

G-One is a GNLD Biocatalytic formula, containing GNLD’s scientifically selected, natural and organic ingredient, Biazyme, which tackles protein-based soil and stains to accelerate the cleaning process.

G-One is formulated from costly, quality ingredients which actively work together to remove tough, ground-in dirt and soil. It’s concentrated, offering super cleaning power from every quarter cupful. G-One contains no air fillers. No air fluffing is done to make the package look deceptively big. It is available in a variety of sizes for families and commercial use.

G-One is also free-rinsing. No soap residue is left in clothes to cause greying. No yellowing or “iron drag.” No irritating residue on baby’s diapers; on shirts, blouses, lingerie, shorts or socks. Pillowcases and sheets are irritation-free as well.

HOW ITWORKS

Scientists have long known that soil and dirt are difficult to...

Cleaning Products—Solving Problems or Creating Them?

March 16, 2008

Cleaning products can be helpful tools to rid your home of grime and bacteria—but can they be

a danger in themselves? Suspicions of hidden dangers have led to an increasein studies

to determine the possible risks of common cleaners. A four-year study conducted through the

University of Bristol and published in the journal Thorax found that children born into families that used

specific types of cleaning products frequently were twice as likely to suffer from wheezing as those

whose families used these products occasionally. Wheezing can be an early indication of the development

of asthma.

The study began with pregnant women and followed more than 14,000 children from pre-natal until the age

of 3 ½ years. Their results are distressing.“There is a gathering evidence that environment

exposures early in life, including in the womb, may influence the development of asthma. This large study

provides some evidence that increasing exposure to household chemicals during pregnancy

may be linked to an increased risk of a child wheezing in the first few years of life,” concluded Dr. Matt

Hallsworth. A new study by researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, and

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory focused on toxic pollutants emitted by common household...

Digital TV on Its Way-Prepare for the Switch to Get the Picture

March 16, 2008

Digital TV on Its Way – Prepare for the Switch to Get the Picture

Big changes are coming in television broadcasting. On February 17, 2009, all full power television stations are required to stop broadcasting in analog and continue broadcasting in digital only. This is known as the DTV transition.

Some consumers are asking why they need to switch. First, all-digital broadcasting will give needed communications channels to police, fire and emergency rescue personnel. It will also allow for new wireless services for consumers. In addition, since digital is more efficient than analog, it allows stations to broadcast several programs at the same time, instead of just one program with analog. This means broadcasters can offer consumers more choices. Digital also allows broadcasters to offer improved picture and sound quality, including high definition (HDTV) programming.

It is also important to know that the end of analog broadcasting does not mean that consumers must purchase new TVs, and you certainly don’t need an HDTV to watch digital broadcasts. If you currently receive over-the-air programming on an analog television using a broadcast antenna, either through “rabbit ears” on your set or an antenna on your roof, you will only need a digital-to-analog...

Are You Going to Celebrate Earth Day?

March 16, 2008

The official date of Earth Day is April 22, 2008. Earth Day Celebrations are scheduled for the weekend before or after April 22, 2008. regardless of when you hold your celebration the most important thing to keep in mind is: Earth Day is every day for Everybody.

A Brief History of earth Day!

Earth Day was started on April 22, 1970 by Gaylord Nelson (ex-Senator from Wisconsin). This day is the birth of the modern environmental movement in the United States due to American powering their massive V8 sedans with leaded gasoline. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or even bad press. Air pollution in the 70's was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity.

Earth Day is a day of celebration for all the groups who have been working together for a healthy, sustainable environment. These groups have been fighting against oil spills, raw sewage, toxic dumps, heavily-polluting factories, and power plants, pesticides, freeways, the loss of wildness and the extinction of wildlife.

The first Earth Day led to the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the passing of the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and the Endangered Species...

New Lighting for Now and into the Future

February 26, 2008

Make improvements to your lighting is one of the fastest ways to cut your energy bills. An average household dedicates 11% of its energy budget to lighting. Using new lighting technologies can reduce lighting energy use in your home by 50% to 75%. Advances in lighting controls offer further energy savings by reducing the amount of time lights are on but not being used.

Indoor Lighting

Use tube fluorescent and energy efficient compact fluorescent lights (CFL's) in fixtures throughout your home to provide high-quality and high efficiency lighting. Fluorescent lamps are much more efficient than incandescent (standard) bulbs and last up to 10 times longer. Today's CFL's offer brightness and color rendition that is comparable to incandescent lights. Although fluorscent and compact fluorescent lamps cost a bit more than incandescent bulbs, they pay for themselves by saving energy over their lifetime. CFL's fixtures are now available that feature dimmers and opearte much like incandescent fixtures.

Outdoor Lighting

Many homeowners use outdoor lighting for decoration and security. When shopping for outdoor lights, you will find a variety of products, from low-voltage pathway lighting to motion-detcor floodlights. Lights powered by small photovoltaic (PV) modules that convert sunlight directly into electricity; consider PV-powered...

RENEWABLE ENERGY

February 26, 2008

You have many options for using renewable energy at home from solar-powered outdoor lights to buying renewable energy to even producing solar electricity at home with photovoltaic (PV) cells.

A new home provides the best opportunity for designing and orienting the home to take advantage of the sun's rays. A well-oriented home admits low-angle winter sun to reduce heating bills and rejects overhead summer sun to reduce cooling bills.

Many U.S. consumers buy electricity made from renewable energy sources like the sun, wind, water, plants, and Earth's internal heat. This power is sometimes called "green Power".

If you've made your home as energy efficient as possible, and you have very high electricity bills and a good solar resource, you might want to consider generating your own electricity using PV cells.

To invest in PV cells for generating your own electricity the following conditions must be right for you: Your site has adequate solar resources, and a grid connection is not available in your area or can be made only through an expensive power line extension.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

February 26, 2008

Did you know that the typical U.S. family spends more than $1,600 a year on home utility bills? Unfortunately, a large portion of that energy is wasted. And electricity generated by fossil fuels for a single home puts more carbon dioxide into the air than two average cars.

the good new is that there is a lot you can do to save energy and money. Start with making small changes today.

The key to achieving these savings in your home is a whole-house energy eficiency plan. Taking a whole-housse approach to saving energy ensures that dollars you invest to save energy are spent wisely.

Energy-efficient improvements not only make your home more comfortable, they can yield long-term financial rewards. Reduced utility bills more than make up for the higher price of energy-efficient appliances and improvements over their lifetimes. In addition, your home could bring in a higher price when your sell.

The End of the Light Bulb as We Know It

February 26, 2008

The incandescent light, bulb one of the most venerable inventions of its era but deemed too inefficient for our own, will be phased off the U.S. market beginning in 2012 under the new energy law just approved by Congress. Although this will reduce electricity costs and minimize new bulb purchases in every household in America, you may be feeling in the dark about the loss of your old, relatively reliable source of light. The incandescent light bulbs are being taking away due to the industry moving to more efficient lighting. One of the lowest-cost ways for the nation to reduce electricity use and greenhouse gases. In fact, it actually will save households money because of lower utility bills. 90% of the energy that an incandescent light bulb burns is wasted as heat. And yet, sales of the most common high -efficiency bulb available(compact fluorescent-CFL) is amount to only 5% of the light bulb market.

Earlier this year, Australia became the first country to announce an outright ban by 2010 on incandescent bulbs. The change over for the U.S. will take into effect until 2012 and phased out through 2014. However, don't be surprised if some manufacturers phase out earlier.
